TL;DR
After responding to nearly 70 Google reviews left by families over the past eleven years, I noticed something surprising.
Very few people talked about camera equipment.
Almost nobody mentioned fancy props.
Instead, parents talked about how they felt.
As a newborn and family photographer in New Richmond, Wisconsin, those words mean more to me than anything else.
Most people assume they should compare editing styles, prices, or packages first.
Those things matter.
But your experience matters too.
Ask yourself:
Beautiful images are important, but the experience should be enjoyable too.

This might be the number one concern parents share with me.
The truth?
Kids do not need to sit perfectly still or smile on command.
In fact, many of my reviews mention toddlers, sensory needs, busy children, or babies who had completely different plans for the session.
Children are allowed to be children.
Some of the most meaningful images happen between the posed moments in my family photography sessions.

You’re not alone.
Several families specifically mentioned feeling nervous before their session.
Others admitted they simply dislike having their pictures taken.
You do not need to know how to pose.
You do not need to know where to look.
My job is to guide you throughout the session so you can relax and focus on your family.
Safety, patience, and experience matter.
Many families mentioned feeling comfortable handing over their newborn because sessions moved at baby’s pace.
Newborns do not follow schedules.
Sometimes they need to eat.
Sometimes they need cuddles.
Sometimes they simply decide they are in charge.
That’s normal.
A good newborn photographer understands that babies set the pace.

After reading 69 reviews, the same words appeared over and over:
Interestingly, almost nobody talked about price.
Instead, families remembered how they felt.

Reviews tell you something websites cannot.
They reveal the experience.
They answer questions potential clients may not even know they should ask.
And they provide reassurance from real families who have already walked through the process.
