Hi, I’m Mandie Schug, the heart behind Alabaster Photos, a modern newborn and family photography studio based in Emerald, Wisconsin, serving New Richmond, Amery, and the surrounding Western Wisconsin area.

My journey started back in the 90s — mall photography was my first creative playground (the raddest high school job ever!). But it wasn’t until the births of my own girls that I fell in love with the gentle, authentic storytelling of hospital newborn photography.

Today, I specialize in baby-led, natural newborn sessions that capture the real emotion and connection between you and your baby. Whether it’s a peaceful hospital newborn session, a cozy in-home lifestyle shoot, or a milestone session in my Emerald studio, my goal is to make the entire experience calm, meaningful, and stress-free.
